Hi, I am a new member, shooting 20D. Been shooting about four years. Would someone mind looking at my gallery and let me know where I need to improve my skills? I can take it. Just let me know. Thanks for your time.Photography is a big part of my life.

Hi George! First of all, welcome to Better Photo! This place is a mamzing and will be of great value to you.

Your images are beautiful... you know how to handle beautiful situations, that's for sure.

Open Green seemed a little dull to me... needs something else in the composition to spice it up. Very well shot, though.

Just Looking back is beautiful, but lacks the quality of the rest of your images. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Canon Shot is a cool idea, but I would crop it tighter next time, just to draw the eye right to the subject.

The rest of your work is beautiful... my favorite is Yellow. It is lovely.

Well, I hope that little bit of critique was helpful...

I am very impressed that you don't use any photo editing... that is very surprising these days. Keep it up!

By His Grace and For His Glory,

Elizabeth C.

My best suggestion is to keep shooting. You're doing well.

  Hi George and welcome.

I'm fairly new to this site too and I absolutely love it.
Elizabeth is pretty much on the money concerning your work. Except for a couple of shots that maybe could be improved upon by cropping tighter, your work is very well done.
I shoot with the 20D also and I love it.
I've owned quite a few cameras in my time but this baby is premo.
As you browse the site, make sure you check out all the nooks and crannies. There is a lot of knowledgable people here and we all learn from one anothers work. I've not been much into software manipulation outside of the usual i.e. (exposure, contrast, color and sharpness), but seeing what some the people here are creating with programs like Photoshop and Paintpro, I'll probably start getting more involved in that area too.
In the forum you can learn a lot from people. Check out the threads in "How did you do that?" A lot of creativity there.
Well, enjoy and keep shooting and above all, have fun. See ya!

Bob
