Bride in a Mirror

Any suggestions on shooting a bride in a mirror? Whats the best angle - no lights, so bounce flash? Where off the ceiling, side wall? Would like to try this. Thanks

Robin I put an image in my gallery for you to view. It is on the second page last image.

I took this of my model in a mirror and I thought it turned out really good.

also go to Paula M gallery on BEtter Photo. She has some beautiful mirror shots of Keshia.

  Hi Robyn,
Take a look at THIS IMAGE in my gallery. This mirror was hanging on the wall of the stair landing in her mom's house. I was on the stairs above her, following her as she walked down. I used direct flash, but since I was shooting down at an angle, there was no reflection of the flash back at the camera.

I manually focused on her reflection in the mirror - some AF systems get confused by mirrors.

Another thing - if I would have taken more time to carefully Windex the mirror, it would have saved me some touch-up time on the computer.

Chris

Thanks Kerby and Chris - I'm so looking forward to this wedding, but also nervous. Chris, nice idea to have BW and colour in the reflection! Looks really lovely

Nice Brenda - did you bounce the flash off the ceiling?

a n   No actually I face the flash backwards. If you are in a small room it works great.
