How to Use a Sepia Filter Hi, I have purchased a Cokin sepia tone filter for colour film. I have tried it on outdoors in daylight and indoors with studio lights but I see no sepia tone effect in the final print. I would like to know how to use this filter with colour negative film.

I have heard that you have to notify some processors that you used a sepia filter or else they will correct the color. I've never used one, so I don't know this for sure.

Hi, you do have to tell the processor that you have used a filter or their machine will automatically colour correct it. Boots, the chemist used to sell a b\white film that could be used with a sepia filter and you got quite nice results back. Sorry but I forget the name of it.
