  Hi TJ,

I do not have that exact lense, but I do have to Tamron 28-300 and I love it.

I also have the Sigma 28-135 lense which I like, but the Tamron is a lot better. The focal wires in the Sigma lense tend to break. It has happend to mine and to another photographer friend of mine that uses the Sigma 28-300.

I dont have it either but I have the Tamron 28-200 and its great, makes a good hiking lens. I dont use it much anymore because im in love with my Canon 28-135 IS lens and my new Sigma 10-22mm. But the Tamron performs well outside in bright light, most of the car pics on my gallery were taken with it I believe.

Thanks for your input guys. Do either of you own a macro?

Craig- how is your sig 10-22 inside or o/s in cloudy cond??? Looking also for a good wide angle for my grand canyon trip.

thanx

it works well inside, its a tad on the dark side but if you shoot in RAW its no problem. Focus is great and outside its top notch.. Inside is good to its just that it tends to vignette just a hair in the 10MM range..although, I did have the lens hood on it too. I havent really tried it out inside yet except for a few test shots.
