Changing the DPI on Nikon D70

I use a Nikon D70 at work to produce images for a catalog. The only issue that I'm having is that the camera saves the images at 72 dpi and then I have to take them into Photoshop and change the DPI to 300.

Is there any way that I can set the DPI in the camera to 300 and save me a step in this process??

Also, how would you rate the D70 for shooting sports??

The DPI is not in the camera, it's in PS, Next time you're in PS change the DPI to 300 and save, it should remember this next time you open an image.

It must be opening in PS that way. Even when my image size is set to small I'm getting a resolution of 300 ppi. When I shoot RAW the RAW converter opens them at what I specify, but default is 240 ppi. You can set the RAW Converter to open them at what you want. I have never changed the Image Quality on the camera from large but just now changed it to small and opened in PS CS and it was still 300 ppi. Check the properties in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer? You should see the DPI at 300 when you right click on Properties then Summary.

For action the D70 doesn't shoot as many frames per second as the Canon 20D, but the Nikon D200 that's coming out will.

Where do I go in PS to set it at 300 permanently?? Is there a place in general preferences or am I supposed to do this when I open an image?

I opened an image, set it at 300 and saved it, but it didn't remember it when I opened the next image.

They are just RAW JPEG files. And what exactly does ACR mean?
