I think you should look into getting the Nikon D1 which I think is the best action camera for the money. In fact the price has gone down since the D1x and D1H have hit the seen. It works like a real 35mm with speeds up to 4000 and uses all of the Nikon lenses. ISO speeds from 200 to 1600 asa all you need. I started with the Olympus 600L(2 days) then Olympus 620 DL (1 week) then the Nikon E2s (expensive)but was like a 35mm but it had its draw backs. So I had to choose between the Fuji S1, Nikon D1, Olympus E10 and the Canon D50. I chose the S1 but only kept it only a week $3,000.00 camera on a $200.00 frame. Then I bought the D1 boy what a difference. 4.5 frames a second fast enough for any action photography. Paired up with the Lexar 12x, 10x, or 8x compact flash cards you can't get any better. Well good luck looking
