Photography Question

BP Classes

I was wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea for students of the online BP classes to rate the class. This could be a survey at the end that could have categories rating 1 - 5. 5 being very satisfied and 1 not at all. Some of the categories could be:

Was the instructor responsive
Did you gain valuable information
Did you feel that your critiques were on the money
Did you feel you got your monies worth

Coming from the corporate world, we always improve when we are surveyed by our customers.
What do you think?

Well I definitely think that would be a great idea!! I would love to see that happen! Hopefully BP considers it :)

  Hi Janet and Kristina,
Thanks for the excellent suggestion ... and not only have we considered such a rating/feedback system, but we have already put it in place! :-)

Check out the bottom of the Courses page for the What Our Customers Are Saying section. Here's a direct link:

  Hi Kerry,
Thanks for such a quick response. Yes, I saw the rating section and actually used it to determine whether to take a course but I was thinking of something a little different. For instance, an instructor may give incredible technical instruction in the assignment but not be very responsive in between assignments. Or they may create a very exciting interaction between them and the students with a lot of feedback but not be very specific when it comes to critique.
I have learned a tremendous amount in each of the 4 classes that I have taken and look forward to learning more. I am not sure though that I would be able to choose just one number for a rating.
I also think that the survey should not be public but the results of the survey could then result in an overall rating or just viewed by BP for your instructors to learn from.
Just a thought that I may very well be alone in thinking but felt I should share it.
Janet

  Hi Janet,
Thanks for clarifying. Great suggestion about a non-public evaluation, in addition to our public system. This is definitely a suggestion that we will consider.
Thanks again,
Kerry

P.S.: Thanks for your input, Howie!
