Photography Question

Julie Arce

Digital Indoor photos

I love my digital camera. It takes amazeing OUTSIDE photos. But when it comes to inside photos, it kinda sucks. Do I need a powerful flash in addition to the normal flash that is on the camera?? Below is an example of what I'm talking about. Thanks for your help

Julie, you did not attach the photo you mention, but to answer your question, yes - you probably need additional light indoors. The built-in flash on most cameras is not very powerful. The question is whether your camera allows the use of external flashes; this is something you must check for in the manual.

You may also want to change your white balance settings for different lighting.
