CANON 20D LENSES Hi Guys I am looking for a decent general all purpose small to medium range zoom lens (the faster the better) for the canon 20D sharpness is one of my major concerns. My problem is at this time my budget is around $300.00 any suggestions? Many thanks Ian

"sharpness is one of my major concerns." Hate to break it to you, but for $300, you aren't going to get a really sharp lens. My advice to you is to hold off on your spending and save up for a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L lens which has SUPERB focus speed and sharpness with great clarity and good saturation and contrast. For three hundred, your options are limited and you aren't going to get a very sharp lens.

By saying small to medium range zoom lens, do you mean like a somewhat wide angle lens to medium telephoto? Go to www.bhphotovideo.com and search through their photo gear and look for lenses for Canon EOS. Then you should be able to say that you want just Canon brand or possibly Sigma as well as their EX series lenses are pretty good. There's a 28-135 IS zoom lens that's pretty good but on the 20D it won't have a very wide field of view. What I bought is the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG. It's like a 38-105mm equivalent now or something along those lines. It's over $300 though. The one I got on bhphotovideo.com was around $430. I really like it though.
