Regional clubs? Does anyone know if there are ever "regional" get togethers? For instance, a casual meeting in a certain city or park so we could have company, learn from others and have fun shooting for a day. Nothing official, just a chance to meet others who like to do the same thing.... What do you think?

Hey Sharon! First of all, welcome to BP! I know that there have been several 'regional' get-togethers. I live in OK and I met up with several other BPers (from TX & OK) last April. I think they have another get-together scheduled for Nov. Several other BPers had a Maine get-together in June and I know there have been others out there. I think a lot of it is just finding those who might be within a days driving distance from the gathering....Those who put on the OK and Maine get-togethers posted in info on their daily contest entry. Well I'm in North Carolina and a couple of us are planning for having Debby Tabb and Liza Franco (some locals as we'll call them!) to do a weekend "siminar" type thing. We can keep you updated on when it is if you're interested in coming up.

my husband went to new palestine hs...i grew up about 2 hrs north of here in wabash....he brought me to the big city from the small town:) where are you now? are you in the service or something that took you there? I love it here too!!!! wouldn't move away (unless you put me near a beach, LOL)!

that's funny I say crap and you know i'm in the service! lol. this place is horrible and so is the military, in my opinion. it's just not for my wife and i. but yes i'm in here at pope afb/ft. bragg in fayetteville, nc. we'll be buying a house in indy when we get out!

my brother-in-law is in the service and he is having a hard time (in bahrain sp? right now)...not sure how long he is going to do it...he wants to get into flight school to try something new but my sister is pregnant so that could change everything! indy is a great place isn't it! well, good luck for the remainder 3 years and if were still bping together when you return we will have to have our own regional meeting:)!

My wife is from Mansfield. We drive through Dayton all the time when we're going from Indy to Columbus! And my family goes to Kings Island about 4 times a year!

Carolyn, Char lives only about 20 minutes from me. I had inquired about a camera club for my area and she responded. Bad thing is that they meet on a night that I have to be around for my daughter's cheerleading practice. Does Bonnie live near Char?

hey guys from indianapolis and surrounding. have any of you ever shot the big city's citiscapes? I tried late one night last summer when I was in town and didn't really know where to get some good views. well anyways I'll be back in january for our "christmas" and will probably go shoot one night. anyone know of any good places that I could get a nice view from? thanks.
