It looks like a good photo, the only thing is try to remember to turn off the date stamp.

  Hi Jill...
If I were to offer my evaluation of this image, here's my two cents...:o)
On a positive note, the 'mood' is a worthy capture, the pensive pose is full of thought and makes the viewer wonder what the subject is thinking about...the red jacket is a perfect contrast to the BG, which, by the way is also good--not cluttered or distracting...
On a less positive note, the date stamp, which has already been mentioned, needs to go. :o) Also, compositionally, your subject should rarely be right in the middle of your image. In this instance, she needs to be moved to the left so that she is looking 'into' the image, and in composing, her shoes should not be cut off. The focus looks soft, that may or may not be corrected in an image editor...also, the top of the rail is overexposed, and should be toned down a bit...
Well, there is my assessment, I hope I haven't offended you, you seem like you're really interested in improving your photography, and this can only be done with an honest evaluation from a neutral party...:o) Keep shooting! :o)

I go with Mikki......and maybe show a bit more of the tracks leading out of the photo to the right...:-)

I have the F828 so it might be a little different. But you go to set-up>Camera 1>Date/Time and switch it to off.

I agree with the comments about the placement and the date stamp but dang, I sure like the mood!
