color issue adobe elements 2 I dont know much about software. I have microsoft picture it, which I use mainly, because, when I open a photo in it the colors are true in the photo. When I open a photo in Adobe elements 2, the colors are brownish & way off. I prefer to use adobe since it has alot more options. Is there a setting I need to adjust to fix this? I tried to save the two different images to show the difference but when I saved the adobe photo to a file & opened the file outside of adobe, the colors were correct???

Pam, It has been a while for me, but I think you can calibrate your monitor in Adobe. I would suggest go into the Adobe and check out the help section and look up calibration. It should help you find what you need. Judy

Check The Color Space Your Using In Adobe Pam,It Should Be The Same As Microsoft Picture It!I Wouldnt Think That Monitor Calibration Would be An Issue Since It Looks Fine In Picture It

Thank you both for your help. Terry, can you tell me how to check the color space? I apologize for my lack of adobe knowledge....a class may be my best option.

Hi Pam!Open Photoshop, Open Your Pic, At The Bottom Of The Screen On The Left Side There Is An Arrow Click It Click Document Profile, To The Left Of The Arrow The Profile Will Appear It Should Match The One In The Picture It Program,Im Not Sure How To Find It In The Microsoft Program as I Have Never Used That,To Change The Profile Click Image At The Top Left Then Mode,Assign Profile, Change To The Desired Profile And Save. Most Photographers Use The Adobe RGB 1998 Profile,Hope That Helps:-)
