Printing pictures


 
 
I tried printing for the first time. The pictures came out much much darker than on the monitor. WHy? Also on come close-ups there ae lines printing. Why?

Photos always come out slightly darker on the printer than on the screen for the simple reason that your screen is backlit, so it looks lighter. However, this would not account for your photo being "nearly black". You should check to make sure that your saturation and brightness on the printer driver are correct. (Not all printers have them, but good ones do)

Also, with vertical lines, I suspect that comes from having either a cheap inkjet, or one with a blocked nozzle. Buy a new ink cartridge and if the lines persist, it's the printer's fault. Never leave ink cartidges to the open air, and use them every few weeks. Otherwise the ink dries in the nozzle.
