What is 3 frames per second shooting?

Hi,

I am wondering what is the 3 frames per second shooting. How is it used? For what?

Thanks.

It is basically how fast your camera can shoot several pictures in one burst. So, 3 frames per second would be three pictures in one burst--click-click-click (one right after the other). You get the camera to do this by holding down the button. After the camera takes the burst it writes it to a card so there is typically a pause before you can do another burst. This is great for sports photography or scenes where you need to get the follow through of a series. It also works great with kids because they move around so much.
Hope this helped

Ha Ha!! LOL! I am not sure your minolta XT would have this feature?? But I could be wrong -- you could check your manual :)

actually melissa I was joking and giving some info, and then you slap my camera in the face again.chuckle.
it will only shoot 2 frames per second, but will shoot the whole roll at that rate if I set it that way.not just 3 frames.14 custom functions, full manual control, and omni directional focusing.off camera flash, remote release, spot metering, bracketing, panorama setting, exposure compensation.
slow sync flash, high speed flash sync up to 1/4000 sec.
most reviews were based on frustration because people were overcome by it's possibilities.the amount of engenering incorperated into one camera.
and yeah I have to carry cheat sheets with me.i forgot eye start.
i think like most people you would be overcome by this camera.i am.
