Tripod with Carry on When I fly on an airplane, is it acceptable to bring my tripod on the plane as a carry on?

Sure - I bring mine everywhere. I bought a Bogen that is just small enough, with the head removed, to fit into my carry on. If yours is too big for that, you can get a special hard case for it. Check the airline to make sure it is within their physical dimension limits.
