CONTEST QUESTION?????

I put an image called Mother and Daughter 2 into the contest and I put it in people category.

It is at a swimming pool and I was thinking of changing the catagory to the monthly theme contest?

WE live in the middle of the country and this is about as close to the beach theme contest as I am going to get with where we live being landlocked.

Does anyone know if I have to take it out of the contest and reput it back in the contest another day to place it in another category?

Or will Better Photo change the category for me?

I am not sure what to do.

Thank in advance for any advice you can offer.

Kerby

  Hi Kerby!
There is a way now to change categories! Very exciting.
You have to wait to do it before you do a contest entry for the day though.
So tomorrow morning, go into upload photos, enter your photo id number, and just pick the new category and hit submit. Your title and description will stay the same, but the category will change.
Once that is done you can go ahead and enter a new photo for the day.
No more having to delete and re-enter the next day!
Have a good day!

Thats a great upgrade, I just wish that you could change the catagory without losing a day.

  Diane THANK YOU very much.

I do that tomorrow morning before I enter my picture tomorrow.

That is a wonderful new feature to the site.

I just think MOTHER AND DAUGHTER 2 could fit into either catagory (People or beach) but it would be fun to have an entry in the beach catagory since I have alot of them in the people catagory already.

Hey Melissa - you don't lose a day. You have to wait a day to change it - but you can still upload a new pic the next day. The old way you had to wait until the next day, delete your wrong entry and re-enter - and then lose a day. This new way you don't lose anything!
Kerby - I agree that it would be nice to enter one in the theme. Go for it and good luck!

Way to spread the work, Diane!! Woo Hoo!! :O

Melissa, I don't think it's an upgrade, I think it's a glitch, but whatever gets the job done, right?? :)

It worked like a charm this morning.

Got MOTHER AND DAUGHTER 2 switched from people to the monthly theme contest and still was able to put my entry into day.

Thank you so much for advice :)

Sorry, Diane, I meant "Way to spread the WORD"! No thanks necessary, it was discovered completely by accident! :)

I am glad you discovered it!

It is great we can do this and still beable to put a new image for the day.

I am really careful about catagories but my mind was not thinking beach living in landlocked state.

But the Mother Daughter 2 is in water so that as close to a beach as I am to get.

LOL.....Thanks Laura and Diane.

Just to add to this, after attempting this I discovered that in order to do it you have to use the "Single Image Upload" option and you can change the category without uploading a new photo. Just to save anyone else confusion :)
