Photographer's Forum Contest? I got a letter today saying I was a finalist in the above contest co-sponsored by Canon . . . Did anyone else get this letter? Is this another picture.com type fiasco? I am not ordering the book they sent me info about. I had to pay $3.95 to enter the contest and had kind of even forgotten about it? I called the number at the bottom of the letter and of course she told me I didn't have to buy the book and would still be published yadda yadda. . . but I still can't help to think that if you don't buy the book your images won't win the grand prize? Anyway . . . anyone know what I'm talking about?

If you have to pay, then it sounds like the Picture.com and the ILP. So just remember a real publisher should be paying you, not the other way around. Where did you find this contest?

It was in PhotoGraphic Magazine and one other magazine but I can't remember which one! I guess I'll see what happens. . .

I've just looked at the website and some of the "winning" photos. To me it looks like any snapshot taken by a 6-year-old is a "winner" Vince
