Are you entering against yourself? In one of the questions I read on here about how the contest is judged, they said that they group all of one photographers photos together, then choose the best from those to go on. So if I enter more than one of my photos into the same category in the same month, is that hindering my chances of going on to the next level, cause they will have to choose only one from those, in a sense then arent I competing against myself? Should I then just enter one photo into each category each month? Just thought I would through this out there!!! -Collette-

...if your intent of posting is to win, yes, you are competing against yourself... ...perhaps, a good strategy is to post one or two of your best in each category for winning the contest and others (not of your best, if you have those...) for fun and learning...

...here's the quote Collette may be refering to... "...we can select your best work, and we can weed out the duplicates and similars that some contestants enter." Gregory may seem to have an inside track sometimes... :D At the finalist level in May contest, there were two photos of very simliar in the same categoroy (same model) by one participant among them... I am thinking that at this point, the duplicates and similars would be weeded out to go on to the next level if the above quote holds...

You Are Competing Aganist Yourself Collette In A Sense,By Uploading 2 Of Your Best In Each Cat Gives You Around 20 For The Month More Than Enough Spread Around,But In The End You Are Competing With Lots Of Other Bp'ers Best Too:-)The Amount The Judges Choose Can Be Lots More Than One (Thus The Person That Has Multiple Finalists) Concetrating All Your Images In One Cat Is A Real Bad Idea! Utilize All Cats That You Can:-)
