Let me start off by saying hello to everyone.

I am using adobe photoshop 7 and I use the action script to record me putting a watermark I created on an image and when I play the script back I keep getting error mesages.

I can't tell exactly from what you've said. But the action is looking for something that doesn't exist or is named wrong, something like that. It could be a layer or a document that isn't open and you didn't record opening it. Try expanding the steps in your action and look at exactly what the action is trying to do when it hangs up. You should be able to figure it out. If you can't figure it out, send me the action and I'll check it out(you'll have to save the whole set).

Ok, "The command "move" is not currently available.
" That is when I drag the watermark from it's place onto the photo. So when I try to repeat that action it says it can't. I been working on this for 3 days on and off.

Thanks for your help thus far.

There are a few things that actions won't do. Draging from one document to another is one of them. What you will need to do is record something like this: open the sorce document (watermark document), select the layer in the source (watermark) document, use the marquee tool to select the area around your watermark, edit-copy, select destination document, edit-paste, THEN do your move, stop recording. When you get your action working, you'll want to be sure it works as a batch too. If you record something like "select previous document" which was open at the time of recording, then your action will die on you when you try to run a batch.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Vince

Ok, the watermark that I am using is saved as a psd file. When "open the sorce document (watermark document), select the layer in the source (watermark) document, use the marquee tool to select the area around your watermark, edit-copy, select destination document, edit-paste," it paste a white background, no water mark, when I save the watermark as a gif file, the water mark looks horrible.

Your watermark isn't on a layer named "background" is it? Other than that, I can't figure out how your getting this problem. (Background layers won't allow transparent pixels).

Maybe someone else on this website has some ideas? Or you can send the watermark psd to skydivepro@yahoo.com and I'll look at it.
