how to shoot with one arm

a year and a half ago I crushed my wrist and broke my arm. well the wrist rebroke. I'm homebound and in a cast. i'm assuming if I use my tripod i'll still be able to shoot. but my area is limited for subjects. help!
the other thing is I did go to my paint program, and I'm a total bust when it comes to retouching up/cloning does practice make perfect?

Im sorry to hear that. They say you should always use a tripod anyway. If you get CS2 you can do alot now with one hand. You can read alot about photography tricks while you heal.

Tough about the wrist! This may be the time to take up macro because if you do, you have unlimited subjects at home: fruit, vegetables, stuff in your sewing basket, flowers. Or portraits of your family. Or your cat. Or self portraits on a timer. Or non-macro still lifes.

And yes, practice makes perfect!

I'M SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR WRIST- I DO HOPE THAT IT IS EXPECTED TO HEAL.
BUT HAVE YOU CHECKED IN TO REMOTES- WEATHER CORDED OR WIRELESS- THERE ARE SO MANY NEW ONES OUT THESE DAYS.
I FIND ALL KINDS OF NEW TOYS JUST BY WATCHING EBAY- UBDER MY CAMERA TITLE.
MAYBE WORTH A SHOT,
DEBBY

maholo nui everyone for your response. I'll follow everyone's advise. I have a table top tri-pod and the regular one, maybe it's time to do some self-portrait stuff. I have a lot of native plants on my lanai I can find new ways to shoot them too. yes, you're right I have a million things around the house I could use as models.
good night everyone, thank you again.
