Canon vs Canon

Conclusion

We were really surprised how well the 1D Mk. II performed in the resolution game. We expected not that good results because of the strong AA filter of that camera. In the ISO game the Mk. II is in a class of its own.

This means the Mk. II is clearly the most versatile camera in this range. The 1Ds is still a great performer. Users of the SLR/c may want ultimate resolution, accept the lower quality of the body and don't want to take the plunge for getting the 1Ds.

Actually we may get ourselves the Mk. II as a second body.

I didn't get it. What was the question? Which Mk II you are talking about? The 1Ds Mark II or 1D Mark II?

  Good one Kerry.

Andy, he's referring to the mythical Mark II that he used to brag about having, then bragged that his sister was going to buy him as a thank you present for the incredible pictures he took at her wedding. He never really gets specific about which Mk II it is, I'm not sure that he knows the difference.

Andy, Talking about both plus the Kodak cSLR. For some reason these other goons have been hassling me since Ive joined up. Is this the norm for the BP club.
Not that it matters, because we are not a rude sort. PPA stand for Professional Photography Association and not ever one can join. If these attacks continue I will have to report it

Back to the Mark II family

PPA stands for Professional Photographers of America, and anyone can join for as little as $144. Maybe your club that meets every other Wednesday and performs critical tests on camera equipment is more exclusive. It's okay, I'm not interested in signing up.

You keep saying "We", how many people are sitting at your keyboard?

if you add the state from which your in youll get a listing... for example TPPA( Texas), but Id rather not let you in on our State cause they would hate me for opening the door for you
Now Im giving you a warning mister, one more wise crack and thats it.

  Chris,
Is the S. Mitchell the same as Justin, Steven, Ford, No Name, Savy? I was just begining to think that he went off to bug people on some other site. Good one Kerry.

  S. Mitchell,
Well, Justin, Steven, Ford, No Name, Savy, and the rest of the gang, was all one person that for about a week or two , caused some mayham here. We all thought that he left, when the Powers That Be canceled his accounts.

Chris, I would also like to know why you think that he is Justin, Steven, Ford, No Name, Savy, and the rest of the gang? If you have some proof, then I'm on your side. But if it's just a hunch(which I really doubt) then I'm going to have to wait and see.

Yes, Brendan, he/she is the same.

Justin, you can give me warnings all you want, but your act is so transparent, it's sometimes funny.

Chris, is it their bio/info that made you think that? It does seem kind of braggy.

Rick Richardson    One correction Chris, if I may. Justin/Mitchell/Slick's commentary is hilarious almost all of the time.

Cheap entertainment Justin, please keep it up - especially the 'warning' part...great stuff.

Hey, I just thought of this. It just may be that Justin is on the BP payroll to keep us glued to the forum. Very clever, Jim.

  Rick,
that is a good idea, but I doubt it. At least not after someone(I can't remember who it was, he was one of the pros) threatened to leave because of it.

Brendan, are you convinced yet? The "female" account accused another account of using her name, BEFORE the other account posted using her name.

Yes, the bio was a clue. Does ANYONE else on this site brag about how much money they make? NO.

Justin also has a MAJOR fetish for the beloved Canon Mk II. He finds some way to mention it in nearly every thread he is in.

My Jedi mind powers are tuned to his bull. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

I agree with you now. I just didn't want to jump to conclusions and accuse someone innocent. Lets all just dust off our handy old ignore button again.

That's funny, Rick. My son & I have been geeking out in Star Wars mode for a while now.

This is getting a bit off topic, but when his friends started talking about going to see Star Wars Episode III, he said he wanted to go see it. He's 8, so I went to see it first and decided that he could handle it. But he hadn't seen any of the other episodes, including the original trilogy. So we got out the DVDs and watched Episodes I & II, then went to see Episode III on Father's Day. We watched Episodes IV & V this week, and tomorrow night we'll wrap it up with Episode VI. My wife is completely not into it, so we're driving her crazy. But it's been a cool Father-Son bonding thing. I was just a little older than he is now when my Dad took me to see the original Star Wars in 77.

May the Force be with You.
