Mac question

Hi, just switched from a PC to a Mac for editing photographs and have found when I go online to look at photos a lot of them don't look right. I have tried putting the same shots on the PC and the Mac and they always seem to look better online on the PC. Is there a way to calibrate the Mac so online photos will look right?
Thanks for any help...
Mark

Mark - First, I'd try calibrating your monitor. If that doesn't solve the issue, I'd contact Apple. I use Mac's, and have never experienced this problem.

I have calibrated it using the built in Mac software. Maybe I'll try with the adobe tool and see if that has any effect. If that dosen't work I guess I'll contact apple...
Thanks for the reply.

Or see if you can change the color space with any buttons it may have. I'm not sure if the MAC has the buttons like most of the monitors I've had though. Also, in windows, you can select the color quality. Right now I have this monitor on 32 bit color as opposed to 16 bit before, where there were lines between some contrasting shades and colors. My question, unless you are already familiar with MAC, why switch? If they're better, they're not better enough to make a difference in most situations. Just upgrade your PC with some cards that are less than $100
