Insect Specimens

Is anybody willing to send insect specimens to me? I live on Oahu, Hawai'i, im 15 and have been an aspiring Entomologist since I was three. I have an extensive collection of over 375 insects on display.I was wondering if anyone would send me some insect specimens from their locale country, city, etc. I would be very willing to pay for shipping and handling, though Hawai'i state law prohibits the import of live insects into the islands, so they would have to be preserved in rubbing alchaol or some other preserving agent. I would very much appreciate any specimens to help me with my future career.
Mahalo(thank you in Hawaii),

David

You might try Bob Jensen. He has a gallery here and does a lot of bug work. I've always found him very helpful in identifying stuff, but whether he'd go so far as to send you samples, you'd have to ask him. Good luck.

You might also check with the US Postal Service at www.usps.com about the best way to mail things like this. Flammable liquids like rubbing alcohol could cause trouble. Be safe.
