maternity I am lucky enough to be given the chance to shoot some maternity shots with a family friend. This will be a first for me. I am on a very limited budget and was hoping for ideas on posing as well as very inexpensive yet effective backgrounds and props. I will be shooting a Nikon D70 with a sb600 flash most likeley a 28-70 or 70-300 lense depending upon location. Any input would be appreciated.

I have done a handful of these and so far, I only use a HUGE piece of black muslin and window lighting or bounce flash - or you could even drape your black material over a fence in a shaded area outside. Here is one example and actually, I did have an external flash mounted and bounced the light off of the ceiling. Thre are so many great examples of maternity photography out there. I know - you think to yourself....well, there is really only so much you can do with a big belly!! If you just google "maternity photography" or something similar, you should find all kinds of photographers sites that have examples. You could view those for posing ideas. good luck, I would love to see how they turn out! Angela
