Photography Question

Published photos - starting off

Hey guys,
this is a bit of a complicated question to answer so ill make it as easy as I can.

I live in australia on the west coast and my idea is I would love to travel along our coast and take photos of our beautiful ever changing coastline and its surrounds. I would love to have my work published as a book so people could admire our wonderful regions. Those beautiful sunsets with all the colours and our dry deserts and sand dunes... the list goes on.

The process would be shooting the pictures using a damn good camera,(im thinking a panoramic format) which would obviously take a fair amount of time, but what comes next?..
Im guessing submitting images/slides to a publisher with my ideas?...

In the future I would love to have my own website with prints available for purchase, and postcards etc etc...

Im sure theres probably some books out there on the subject/topic.. any help would be much appreciated!!

Thanks Ben.

  Just do it.
Then be prepared with lots of bandages for your knuckles, as you will ultimately be knocking on a whole lot of doors before one opens, if at all.
Good luck.

Well Ben, I would just find some photo books that you like, and send your photos in to that publisher. Also this is a family friendly site, so please watch your language please.
