Hair salon only available light
I have been asked to do candids at a hair salon for prom. Lighting is my question. We cant use lighting equipment, such as soft boxes or anything else. Im afraid if I use on camera flash, it will be to harsh. Any suggestions? Pictures will be deciding factor wheather or not to use us for a "Glamour Day". They need to be good. I use studio lights and have not had alot of experience with available light.Tina

i have a nikon d70....so if your camera is a digital?! higher iso......smaller fstops & a tripod.... setting white balance..... but if you can point your flash up at the ceiling letting the flash bounce ....images won't be as harsh... or covering your flash with a white strip of cloth so it softens the flash...... just some ideas that may work.... would like to read how you did with your glamour shots !
