Not a clue what to charge in this situation

I recently took photos for a friend. The photos were pre prom of her Son his date and a group of friends.I told her I would do it for no charge but I now have requests from other parents who would like copies of the images. I dont have a clue what to charge. It was a large group of about 40 Kids.I shot mostly her Son and His Date.Him and his friends and her and her friends.I also got very nice shots of the entire group Just the guy's.just the girls and then guys and girls together......Thanks Tony

It depends on how much it costs you to get the prints made. If you're not looking to really make a profit, then find out how much reprints or enlargements will cost at whatever lab you decide to use. Then just round the prices up a little to cover your expenses. You could look at it as a marketing exercise that could get you some other business.

Joan Bellinger   And if you are looking to make a profit, I would suggest doubling the cost the lab charges you, just to make up for your time.
