Try Tokina. I'm not sure about this lens being a manual lens, though. I think ATX is their designation for an autofocus lens, which would not fit on the FE2.

THKS FOR RESPONSE, I SEE THEY HAVE THAT MODEL AS AN AUTOFOCUS ALRIGHT BUT THIS WAS FOR SALE ON EBAY FOR $100 AND THE PICTURE LOOKED DIFFERENT TO THE AUTOFOCUS MODEL. AND THE DESCRIPTION SAID IT WOULD FIT THE FE'S, FM'S ETC. ITS A 2.8F WHICH I GATHER IS V GOOD?? I AM JUST WARY OF EBAY AND WANT TO GET OPINIONS ON THE PRODUCT BEFORE BIDDING

I've never owned a Tokina lens, but they have been around for a while. They probably make a decent product, but it would not be equal in quality to a Nikon brand lens.

An 80-200 f2.8 would be a very handy lens. I didn't find it on ebay, so I can't give you any comments on this particular lens. Can you give me the ebay item number? If you have it, I'll take a look.

THANKS A MILLION FOR ALL YOUR HELP. THE ITEM IS NO LONGER FOR SALE - BUT CAN BE VIEWED. ITEM # 7507637010. I HAVE PUT IN THE BID AND WON THE ITEM BUT WAS ANNOYED TO SEE IT WAS A TONIKA AS THE ITS ADVERTISED AS A NIKON AS YOU WILL SEE (YOU HAVE TO TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THE PICTURE TO SEE TONIKA BRAND LABEL). I AM THINKING OF DISPUTING THE SALE ON THESE GROUNDS AS I WOULD NOT HAVE BID IF DESCRIPTION HAD SAID IT WAS A TONIKA. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP

Okay, I found it. It is indeed a Tokina 80-200 f2.8 manual focus lens that will mount on your Nikon FE-2.

I don't think you should dispute the sale. The brand Tokina is stated in the title of the auction, and the lens is described as a Nikon mount, which is accurate. Bidding on the item is the same as signing a contract to buy it. Backing out on the deal would not be a good way to start your ebay experience.

I think you're getting a good deal for that price.

Thanks for taking a look for me. If its a good price, then i'm happy and ill take it. I really didnt want to dispute the sale - I just thought that I was being mislead. Someone on another forum told me AF lenses like that are not compatible with the fe-2. And I couldnt figure out if it was AF or manual. But if my camera takes the lens thats good news! Thanks again for the help, I like the way fellow photographers look out for each other - I can see im going to enjoy my new hobby. Sites like this really help, given how foriegn and confusing the whole industry still is to me. Take care
