Photography Question

digital crop includes 1/(focal length) still?

Hey all, I'm just making sure, but should that old TV=1/(focal length) still apply to the digital crop on digital SLRs? Besides full frame sensor cameras of course. I'm just asking because I've taken some picture with my 200mm lens and I've gotten some pretty clear results from what I've seen zooming in on the LCD. Some were 1/125 with the 200mm which acts more like a 320mm I guess but it still looks sharp. I'll load them to my computer after I post this but let me know what you think. I have a 20D with battery grip and two batteries plus my lens is a 2.8L so weight might help I guess? Thanks! I'm so excited about my new stuff that I have tons of questions!

I'll try to upload a photo later tonight to show a picture I took with a 200mm lens on my 20D at 1/125 sec...

Here's an example. How does this happen to be as sharp as it is? Somebody said digital can deal with slower shutter speeds than film? Or am I just rock solid? I'll upload the picture to here but it's also in my gallery with the same settings, just made by a Nikon D1 and Canon 20D. Mind the 5 or so years between release dates has something to do with the amount of noise at ISO 1600.

This is a change from my preview posts. This picture is 1/60 second at f2.8 with ISO 1600 at 200mm on my 20D

heck, look at my gallery. The figures are written, the only difference between the two are that they are made with the Nikon D1 and Canon 20D. It's the picture of the Tommy Jeans Cologne
