Landscape settings

Which would be best for shooting landscapes with the 2DX Nikon body?
AF-S mode using groupings set-up or switching to manual and setting my own settings?
Thanks--just received new body, practicing and learning.

In landscape photography, depth-of-field is usually the main concern. Therefore, I would recommend using ANY exposure mode where you can set the f-stop, and allow the shutter speed to fall where it may. These modes would be either A, P, or M.
Any focusing mode could be used, provided you are able to focus on your chosen area. For hyper-focal distance focusing, turn off the AF, and use MF.
In essence, choose whatever gets you the picture (the easiest way for you).
