Photography Question

Entry not showing up

I wanted to enter a photo already on my gallery. So I just added the ID#, and didn't browse my computer for the file. I filled out all the info, and then went to my personal area to view my contest entries. It shows there, but it's not showing in the public domain for contest entries (under animals. It's Moonfish eyes -title).
Help!

  Toni,

When entering an existing photo from your gallery, the photo will be placed in the contest page in chronological order.
To find your photo, you will have to scroll the pages back... Right now, your photo is about 3 pages back in the "animal" category. The older the photo id is, the further back you will have to go back to find the photo...
If the photo is about a month old, the photo will be most likely on the last page...

Thanks Nobi. I did find it. Next time, I'll enter it in the contest before uploading it to my site.

I looked at your monnfish image.
Very fascinating and very interesting looking fish...

btw, I also think it works better if you enter your photo in the contest at the same time you upload in the gallery. That way your photo will be in the current page and has the chance for the viewers to visit and commenet.

What do you think about deleting the photo from the gallery and then entering it into the contest? Is there a rule to doing this?

No there is no rule as such, Melissa.
So, you may certainly do so.

But also you may not have to delete the photo as long as the photo has not been entered in the contest.

One rule is that you are not allowed to enter the same photo in the same monthly contest whether in the same category or another.
