Photography Question

Donna L. Cuic

Anyone hear of this?

I was contacted by a marketing person regarding my Sunrise/Sunset photo. This guy seen this photo in my gallery. Below is his email to me.

My question is - Has anyone been approached like this before. My concern is that this guy is requesting that I send a high resolution photo for consideration to be voted on...doesn't that sound odd, or is that a common practice? I am debating on whether to reply to this guy and asking more questions (like $$$) or wondering if it is a scam and just forgetting about it. Does anyone have an opinion?

Hello, My name is Gregory Banks. The Talking Phone Book is looking for new cover
photo ideas for our Jacksonville Beach Phone Book. I was wondering if you would
be
willing to submit this photo or any other high resolution photos (300 dpi) of
landmarks, landscapes, festivals, etc highlighting the area that we could use
for our cover. We will be collecting a couple photos and then voting on them.
Thank you very much and I look forward to hearing from you.

I would tell him to vote on my low res. photo and, if he wanted to use it, he could send payment and I would forward the high res. file.
