Subjects dont come out right When I attempt to take photos of sunsets I get pinkish circles on my photos.....Why? Also, when I attempt to photograph pink clouds the colors do not come out pink...any suggestions? I have a Olympus Camedia C750...Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Hey C, could the pinkish circles during the sunset photo's be lens flare? Check out this site to determine if this is what you're seeing: http://photobucket.com/albums/v417/laverghetta/Photos/?action=view¤t=100_9086_filtered.jpg It is a picture I took with my point at shoot kodak easy share. It's often hard to see the lens flare happening on the LCD screen of digital cameras that use it as the main viewfinder. I'm not sure but I don't think there's a way to fix this on your camera unless there's a filter you can get that fits your camera. Maybe some kind of a polarizer? The pink clouds not being pink could have to do with the bright metering of the sun. Do you know how to adjust exposure on your camera? Possibly you can set the camera to maybe a +1/2 or +1 exposure compensation and see how the clouds look then? Hope this helps!

Could be the way your lens is manufactured and how many elements it has. If the circles are consistant in all your pics chances are thats what it is. The light is bouncing and reflecting off so many surfaces. Sunsets and sunrises are difficult when the sun is still above the horizon because you have to look directly into it, if you could change your angle of approach. Put the sun all the way to left or the right of the frame, if its for more sky and the colors put the sun in one of the lower corners, that may not get rid of the flare but it will reduce it. The pink clouds are definetly an exposure problem. I hope some of this is helpful...Joe
