Film and Developing for Wedding Reception I have been asked to shoot a relative's wedding reception(the wedding has already taken place.) I am a fairly experienced photographer but mostly due nature and landscape photography. This will be the first such event for me. I usually use a local 1 hour lab that uses the Fuji Frontier Lab, which I've read is very good, and I've been pleased with the results. I plan to use Fuji NPS film. Should I use a pro lab(none of which I have access to locally, I'd have to mail the film)? Is there really that much difference? Also, I usually order film from Adorama. Currently, they have a special of a 20 pack of NPS for 49.00. It does not mention an expiration date, grey market, etc. But they also have the same pack for 79.00 labelled USA. Am I taking a chance if I use the special? If the film is indeed grey market is there anty difference? I'll appreciate any advice.

I would buy the USA film, simply because I would believe it to be fresher. Grey market film would be just as good if you know it arrived here refrigerated, but you don't. Also, I would go with the professional lab. I use a professional lab and I have to mail mine off too. They will process the film using the dip and dunk technique. Nothing will touch your film (rollers can scratch it). Also, they will use professional grade paper. You will pay a little more for proofing but it will be worth it.

Thanks, Kerry. I was already leaning toward the USA film, if for no reason that the savings on the grey market isn't worth the extra worry!
