Easy Rule for Remembering Aperture Settings

Can somebody tell me, is F8 a better setting for deriving the maximum depth of feild or is F22 a better setting for deriving a better depth of feild?

Basically I want to know when does one get a good depth of field? When the aperture setting gets lower i.e. from f/22 to f/16 to f/8 or when the aperture setting gets higher i.e. from f/8 to f/16 to f/22.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank You.

At f22 you get the largest depth of field from the numbers you gave. The higher the number the greater the depth of field.
