How to turn a Vertical into a horizontal photo

I have an old wedding photo that is a vertical full length showing the ladies wedding dressing a train. I'd like to keep the photo as it is, but make a horizontal photo to match the one they have for their 50th wedding. Is this possible. Diane Thomas

In order to maintain the aspect ratio and not distort ; you'll need to crop a horizontal size from the original photo. This may or not be possible , depending on how much "freespace" is around the original image & how much of a closeup the shot was taken. If enough, then you'll still face a challenge to get the horizontal crop to the same size as the original, due to your software will need to extrapolate pixel information to add to the image. If you don't plan on resizing to the same size as the original, then you can get a decent crop.
