Interchanging Lenses

I have a Minolta 35 mm system with several good lenses (bayonet). Since I went digital with point and shoots including the Sony FD series etc. Now I would like to move to SLR and hope I could buy something that would allow the use of my Minolta lenses. Am I "piling slabs" as they say in the woods or is there a possibility? Thanks!

If yours is a Maxxum (Dynax outside the USA) autofocus SLR, then you are in luck. Minolta has announced the Maxxum (Dynax) 7D digital SLR that uses the same lenses. See http://kmpi.konicaminolta.us/eprise/main/kmpi/content/index.htm. There is no digital SLR using the older manual focus X-series (MC and MD mount) lenses.

Thanks Jon, in other words no other camera (digital) will allow the use of these lenses, correct? I guess I will have to wait for a price drop and with the fancy specs. this camera has it may be a while! Rich
