What can I do to get the proper balanced exposure? I am using a Pentax 6x7 manual camera with 400UC 120 film. I am taking a picture at night of the building where I work. I have taken a test shot (15 sec at F16). I love the starburst effect from the lights around the building but there are two signs that seem to be overexposed and you cannot read the writing on the signs. I would like to be able to take a picture where the building is nicely exposed but the signs can be read. I am going back and will bracket at different time intervals between 5-13 secs and see what my results are.I think that some custom printing may have to be done (ie burning/dodging). I do not have a handheld light meter, but I was thinking about using my EOS 1V to try and take numerous spot meter readings and then using the results transfered to the 6x7. What do you think? I will try to attach the photo that I took. Thank you very much for your time. Doug Hornung

Go at an earlier time so that the difference in darkness of the night isn't and the sign brightness isn't as drastic.
