whats -to manipulate


on color film printing you can regulate the colors
and densety of the print, giving colors ant contrasts to the print. and the picture si considered as normal. on digital, if you correct the contrast, densety or colors, is it considered as a manipulated photograph. what marks the limit on considering a digital image manipulated or *straigt*

  Depends on what the purpose of the photo is. There is a pretty interesting series on photojournalistic ethics, including digital manipulations, at the National Press Photographers Association website - http://www.nppa.org/professional_development/business_practices/ethics to start, and "Ethics in the Age of Digital Photography" in particular.

If the photo's intended use is not documentary, but instead editorial or artistic, then there is much more leeway.
