Black Dots on images? Help

I have recently noticed on quite a few of my images Balck Dots appear on certain images. I looked at three shots this morning taken at different settings (Bracketed) and 2 of them have little black Dots over the lighter area of the picture. I have noticed tyhis on others also, but not on all. I am using a 6 month old Digital Rebel and the lenses appear very clean. Any Ideas, is the sensor going bad?

Could be dust, which is a very serious issue...

Take a shot around f22 at the sky and then download it to see if the issue is dust...

If it is, you'll have to clean the sensor...

Thanks I will try this. I got the camera at Best Buy and got a service warranty which includes a cleaning anytime, If this is it I will surely take it bak to them. Thanks.

If you change lenses often, you can expect the problem will repeat itself...

Just have to get in the habit of cleaning the sensor...

I had my Nikon D70 cleaned several times, and I found in most cases the dust is not comes from the field, it comes from the camera bag. The lens body get dust from the bag, then go to the sensor when I change them. Now I wrap the lens in a new shower cap ( shower cap is better then plastic food bag) befor putting into the bag. And when changing lens, clean the lens with brush and blower first. It works.
