I have seen how photographers place a watermark copyright and business name over thir photos for on-line posting. How is this done and is there a site or way to place a custom watermark over photos that I post on-line.?

I just place the text I wish , including any graphic...onto a seperate transparent layer. Then I can place this over top the image I wish to show copyright info. Then merge layers and save as a new name.
In the example I'm posting, the text was created onto a transparent layer, then place over top the existing image. From top to bottom, the text's transparecy was set at o, then 30%, then 70%. You can adjust the amount of transparecy so as not to distract from the photo. Also you can adjust the size of the text, the font, and color.
