New Cameras, Zooms and Meters I've been using a Canon AE-1 for almost 25 years now. I enjoy mostly nature and wildlife photography. I'm thinking about getting something new to add (not replace) to my collection. I'm thinking about getting a Canon EOS ELAN 7E but I'm not sure about the features on new cameras. I saw a Canon 28 - 200mm f/3.5 - 5.6 lens that I was thinking of getting with the camera, but an advertisement I read said that the camera's auto focus would work with lens' down to f/5.6 . The way I see it, that doesn't leave a lot of room to work (or play) with and I'm wondering if that would be a good idea. I'm also wondering if, with the type of photography I like, I should get a spot meter or continue to go with the built in meter. Thank you in advance,

Thanks Jim, but Jon doesn't cover the question about lenses, their speed and their pro's and con's. I've decided on the body (Elan 7E)(thanks again Jon for the final push) but my real question at this point is which lens or lenses to get. Although I would LOVE to get some "L" series lenses my budget (around $1,500 for everything) won't touch those. I want to get one or two good lenses to go with the Elan 7E that will be fast enough and rugged enough with enough power to hold up to nature and wildlife photography. I'm also wondering about the meter and if I should get a separate one to go with the TTL meter. Thank you again,
