Photography Question

David S. Davis

Problems with photo labs

I live in Chicago, and I am having a hard time finding a photo processing lab that is more that half decent. I use Wolf/Ritz for the negatives but I have a number of problems with them:
1) they are rude
2) they could care less about photography (unless you are in a "superstore"
3) I get inconsistent answers
4) The quality of the reprints and enlargements are inconsistent.
Walgreens employees do not use gloves and stick their dirty fingers all over the negs.

Please help me.

Thanks

David

Hi David, I also live in Chicago, my Aunt has a neighbor that owns a photoshop in LaGrange. I have been in there several times, the first time I didn't even mention my Aunt until I was done with my purchase, and let me tell you, they couldn't have been nicer to me, the owner, Brian is really nice and there is one young college age guy that was super-helpful. I haven't had any of my film developed there yet (still getting used to my new SLR), but I was told they charge around $8.00 per roll and the lab is there in the shop, here is the address a phone #, let me know how it goes.
The Photographic Depot
110 1/2 West Burlington
LaGrange, IL 60525

Good Luck!
Kim
