semi-finalist? Hi. Someone recently said they saw a photo of mine in the semi-finalists. Where would that link be. I know there are finalists and then winners, but I never heard of semi-finalist. Thanks.

Hi Mark...a few ideas....but if you go to your camera on this site and click on "photos taken with this camera" you'll spot your photo and I'm pretty sure there will be "semi-finalist" thing next to the pic that was chosen. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jane. I did find my photo but it was not tagged. I really don't think there is a semi-finalist catagory. You either make the finals or you don't, right?

Well, I'm not sure. The link above shows 922 finalists. If I remember correctly they sent an email to me a few days before the finalists were decided and the link they sent brought me to a page that had lots of photos..not categorized, labeled etc..I wish I would have saved that email. I'm signed up to recieve a few newsletters and I believe the list I'm referring to was in there. I'll get back with you with which newsletter. Have a great day :-)

You are right. I received the notice when all of the finalists were chosen from the SnapShot newsletter. There was the link to all of the finalists, all 922, and that is the link above. None of your photos were in those 922?? :-( none of mine were either

The semi-finalist, and other pre-finalist categories, do not have the links posted for us to see. I've come across one accidentally, but I think that these categorizations are just for the judges to use as they narrow down the selection from 15,000 photos to 500 or so finalists. The categories do exist, but they're not publically posted. Pam
