b & w printing printer epson rx500, after converting an image to b&w inphotoshop 7 I am always getting a green cast on my prints, the larger the print the worse the cast. could you please help.

You have a "print greyscale" box in your properties/preferences window when you print? Check that and see if it fixes it. If that dosen't work, if you're converting by changing modes to greyscale, then try going back to rgb by the image>mode>rgb. Should still have a black&white picture but be in rgb mode, and take out green with curves. Do a test print and see if it gets closer to black&white. And keep adjusting with curves until you get a combination that looks right.
