Nighttime baseball games in lit stadium
I would like to know the best camera settings and film speed for shooting night baseball games. I have used 1600 ISO with lousy results both with a 80-200 and a 70-300 lens. All of the photos came out too grainy and blurred. What did I do wrong?? Bill

Did you set your lens at the maximum aperture? Most consumer zoom lenses has a maximum aperture of f5.6 at 200mm or 300mm focal length, which combine with the 1600 ISO film, is still not fast enough to freeze the action. Professional grade zoom with maximum aperture of f2.8 gives you 2 stops faster, together with pushing the 1600 ISO film to 3200 may give you a better chance. Maybe other pros here has other suggestions.
