Differences between Pentax K1000 models I would like to buy a Pentax K1000, perhaps through EBay. However, I'm confused between the different versions I've seen. I've seen the camera as the "Pentax K1000", the "Asahi Pentax K1000", and the "Pentax K1000 SE". What are the differences between these different versions? What are their advantages or disadvantages? I suspect there is little or no difference between them, other than age. Asahi Optical Company makes Pentax and at various times have used the brand names Honeywell, Asahi, and Pentax. Useful links:
