macro photography I am interested in macro photography and would like info as to what the best lens is for this purpose. I am interested in flowers, insects etc. Thank you, John

Canon, Nikon and Konica Minolta all have the 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens which I found very useful. Tamron has the 90mm f/2.8 Macro and Sigma has the 105mm f/2.8 Macro. For shorter focal length, you have to get closer to the subject. For longer focal length, the depth-of-field is very shallow.
