Fuji S3000 - external flash mounting

I mounted a wide angle lens on my Fuji S3000. The lens size causes the internal flash to cast an undesired shadow in the image. I shoot interiors of homes for a real estate company and occasionally want the wide angle.

Question:
Since the Fuji S3000 (and S5000) does not have exterior flash mount (hot shoe), how do I attach an exterior flash - am considering the Vivitar DF 200 Digital Flash?

The DF 200 comes with a mounting bracket that attaches to the tripod socket on the bottom of the camera. It is a "slave," it has an optical sensor that triggers it when the camera's built-in flash fires.
