proper settings


what is the best setting, on a manual 35mm camera, for the aperture and shutter speed for outside bright sunny pictures of a child?

  Use the "Sunny 16" rule.

Set you f/stops at f/16. Then set your shutter speed to the speed of your film, i.e., ISO 100 use a shutter speed of 125, or ISO 200 use a shutter speed of 125 then another shot at 250, etc.
